Event description

Description

A Brief introduction to Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a moving Chi Gong, literally meaning internal work, designed to perform natural flowing movements to enhance the natural flow of the internal Chi (Energy). By daily practice, the flow of Chi through all the acupuncture meridians can be increased, improving poor health and increasing strength, whilst inducing a state of calm.

Class

During the class you will learn the basics of the Tai Chi form as both a moving meditation and a physical exercise to develop muscular strength, balance and flexibility. With focus and breath control you will also explore the additional benefits of relaxation and harmonization of the body's natural opposing forces.

Supported learning

When you sign up to the Tai Chi introduction class you will be provided with a learning pack to help further your study. The pack includes Ebooks and Videos of topics covered during the class as well as additional information to help you through your practice at home. Ian will be filming each class for reference as well as providing a line to a private Q&A incase you have any further queries before or after the class.

About the instructor

Ian has studied Martial Arts for over 20 years. As well as Tai Chi, Ian is also a 3rd degree qualified instructor in Kung Fu and Baguazhang, learning from Masters around the UK before moving to Hong Kong for a year, to further his studies. Now back in the UK, Ian continues to train and teach around London with the WTBA (World Taiji Boxing Association).
