Overview

A webinar to find out more about the England and Wales Census 2031 topic consultation run by the Office for National Statistics.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has launched a public consultation to help shape Census 2031 in England and Wales.

Census questions have changed over time to capture the changing needs of society and allow for analysis of what matters most to communities and policymakers.

While the core topics of age, education and jobs have remained the same over time, other topics such as armed forces veterans have been added based on the needs of users.

We need to make sure the topics we ask about in the next census reflect the changing needs of society.
