Introduction to the Chakras | Afternoon pick 'n' mix workshops
Sat 14 January 2017, 15:00 – 19:30 GMT
Join us for an afternoon of pick 'n' mix workshops
Introduction to the Chakras | 3-3.45 pm | £5
Join us in an introduction to each of the chakras with colour, essential oils and vocal toning. We will explore the way in which each chakra works and look at ways to achieve balance. This session will be the first of four Chakra activities in this workshop.
Chakradance® No limits | 4 - 5 pm | £5
Chakradance is for everyone, whatever size, shape, gender or fitness level. We all need to de stress, to release our limiting beliefs, to recharge ourselves. This is more than a dance - it really is rhythm for your soul. Set to specially selected music to resonate with each chakra, it is a blend of meditation, free dance and mandala art, Chakradance offers a supportive, nurturing space for you to explore your inner self and set yourself free! This practice can be carried out seated for those with limited mobility.
Drumming Circle | 5.15 - 6.15pm | £5
Frame drums are provided or bring your own lovely drum if you have one! We will explore the rhythm of each of the chakras and our primal connection to the drum beat. Drumming has many benefits and the opportunity to drum together has its own special magic!
Crystal Bowl Chakra Meditation | 6.30 - 7.30pm | £5
To complete the day, we will relax and allow the sounds of the crystal bowls to assimilate our work at mind and body level. There will be a bowl played for each of the seven chakras that we are working with and a blending of all the sounds to aid release and total relaxation. Please bring a blanket and cushion to keep you cosy in the meditation!
Followed by tea & conversation > Drinks will be provided between the sessions but feel free to bring a bottle of water to sip throughout as it is important to stay hydrated.
