Introduction to the Dementia and Imagination Approach
By Equal Arts
Overview
Working creatively with people living with dementia is incredibly rewarding.
We will spend time in a relaxed and informal group, understanding the needs of people living with dementia, before going on to explore the importance of creativity and how the dementia and imagination model might give us insights about how to adapt artistic practice to connect with people living with dementia and to encourage 'in the moment' enjoyment.
This session is commissioned by South Tyneside Cultural Programmes to support creative practitioners in the South Tyneside area and so is available free of charge.
