Introduction to the Low Carbon Innovation Fund 2

About this Event

The Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF2) is a venture capital fund operated by the University of East Anglia (UEA), supported by Norfolk County Council and managed by Turquoise International, the UK merchant bank specialising in energy, environment and efficiency.

Launched in 2020 with a new £22 million cycle of investment, LCIF2 is seeking expressions of interest from companies developing or selling products and technologies, which are innovative and will have a real impact on greenhouse gas emissions.

Come along to meet the team, find out about the fund in more detail and how to apply for investment.

Operated by UEA and supported by Norfolk County Council, LCIF2 will invest in SMEs across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Hertfordshire. Portfolio companies will be making substantial impacts on greenhouse gas reduction through the development of technology, products and/or services.

The fund will co-invest with like-minded private sector investors using £11 million of public funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

UEA and Norfolk County Council are working with Fund Manager Turquoise International, who have a strong track record in fundraising, investments and asset management, focusing on energy and the environment, including renewables and cleantech.
