What is the practice of circling?
Circling is a relational meditation practice where we explore the relational space between us. It invites a greater sense of presence, awareness, and connection. Circling is about being deeply present with ourselves and each other: we can experience being seen, accepted, and valued, for who we really are. Circling as a unique practice has been around for about 30 years. It is rooted in mindfulness, integral theory and conflict resolution. It is also known as transformational connection. Click here for a video description of Circling (also known as 'Transformational Connection').
Through a series of guided exercises, you can learn to become more present, listen more actively, and engage with others in a meaningful way.
Whether you're new to the practice of circling or have some experience, this event is designed for everyone. In a safe and supportive environment you will get the chance to explore and expand your relational capacities. You will learn to value yourself and who you are more fully.
Don't miss this opportunity to embark on a journey of self-discovery and connection. The session are offered on a regular basis , so that we can continue to learn and grow in this practice. We look forward to circling with you!

Please be aware that circling can confront you with aspects of yourself that you may find challenging. Circling practice invites you to bring awareness, compasssion, ownership, and curiosity to these feelings, and to explore the full range of how it can feel to be you in connection with others.
- The evening will be co-facilitated by Ben Hodgson, a senior leader with Transformational Connection , along with certified Circling leaders Ruth Friedman and Diarmid Baillie.
Circling practice might be for you if you're interested and curious about :
- becoming more aware of what comes up for you as you interact with other people
- connecting more deeply and intimately with others and with yourself as well
- giving yourself permission to show up fully as yourself
- understanding yourself better and wanting to accept more of yourself, more of the time
- wanting to value yourself more
Circling practice might not be for you if :
- you are someone who is easily overwhelmed, stressed, or destabilized,
- you have a mental illness or significant emotional challenges ,
- you are not sure that you can be self-directed in taking care of your needs during the session
If any of these apply, it is probably not a good idea for you to participate. Should you choose to do so - it is at your own risk.
If you are concerned about any of the above please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can discuss it in advance of the session.

It feels important to us for this workshop to be affordable to everyone. At the same time we want you to recognise the value that you will get from this experience and to pay for it according to your budget. We have 3 pricing tiers for you to choose from. We invite people who feel more fincancially comfortable, to support those who would appreciate a lower price by paying the 'Supporter tier'. There is also a 'Standard tier'. Our aim is to create a system that works towards more equality, mutual trust and abundance.
Please read carefully the details of the 3 Tiers described below and thank you for choosing the tier that applies to you with integrity.
Supporter Tier: £25. Please pay this rate if you feel able to and wish to support others in less financial ease. (This would mean that you can do things like go to the cinema, have a meal out, buy new clothes when you feel like it. You also may own your own home, or have a higher end rental property)
Standard Tier: £20. This tier is for anyone who can meet basic needs without struggle but sometimes has to think carefully about non essentials.
Supported Tier: £15 This tier is for people who may appreciate being supported by a lower rate. Please pay this rate if meeting basic needs such as food and housing is a challenge.
If even the bottom tier feels out of reach for you financially, please make a donation for an amount that feels accessible to you . (Suggested minimum donation £8.00)
