Event description

Description

Maintaining or achieving the safety, security and well-being of individuals and communities is a primary consideration in risk decision making.

The standard expected and required of those working in our communities is that risk decisions are consistent across the services and professions and consideration is given to ensuring that risks are not just passed to other services to take responsibility.

This training will support and underpin the revised Care First assessment tools and process launched on 28th may 2016

It will introduce participants to the positive risk practice guidance and risk assessment tools embedded in the revised Care First assessment and review forms.

The session will allow participants to practice using the risk assessment matrix and revised eligibility guidance and understand how these link to support planning on Care First.

The session will demonstrate how the positive risk approach will underpin practice and will support people to have person centred safer outcomes following assessment of needs.
