Why not learn a new skill and have lots of fun on this inspirational one day course taught by qualified interior designer - Tina Langton Brown, in an informal and relaxed environment.
The workshop is an introduction to the basic skills of preparing, painting and ageing an item of furniture using water based paints. On the day you'll transform a small wooden table or picture frame into a fabulous upcycled shabby chic item using paint distressing techniques, as well as creating a canvas using sponging techniques.
All materials are provided.
Tea /coffee and light lunch provided.

Who is the course provided by?
The course is provided by CleanStart - Trafford Housing Trust's social enterprise. CleanStart is a profit-for-purpose social enterprise, who (through a range of programmes) provide training and employment opportunities for people at distance from the employment market.
We also collect, recycle and provide affordable furmiture (including new white goods) for families on low incomes, people fleeing domestic violence or people looking to build a new life following homelessness.

The course costs £80 plus Eventbrite's £3.29 booking fee.

What's included in the ticket price?
- Five and a half hours of teaching/training by our qualified interior designer - Tina Langton Brown - covering a range of pratical upcycling techniques.

- A small item of furniture or picture frame to upcycle that you can keep.
- Valuable skills that you can use on your own furniture projects.
- The price includes refreshments and lunch.
- You will also have an opportunity to meet and talk to other friendly and like minded poeple on the workshop.
- Everyone who attends will get certificate to mark the day.

Is lunch free and how do you know if I have dietary needs?
Lunch is included within the ticket price. When you book you will be asked for any specific dietary requirements, so please ensure you fill these out.
What happens to the piece of furniture I work on in the workshop?
You will get to keep the piece of furniture or picture frame and the cost of the item is included in the ticket price.
I have medical conditions or am pregnant, is the course safe for me to attend?
You'll use emulsion paints and prepare items by sanding them on your upcycling course. Dust-masks and a protective apron are provided but we would always recommend if you are pregnant or have medical conditions that you seek advice from your GP, midwife or healthcare professional prior to attending the course.
