Explore how to work with perpetrators of abuse effectively. For professionals in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland only

About this event

You will be emailed a quick questionnaire to be completed prior to and following the session. You will not gain access to the training without completion of the pre-questionnaire.

This training introduces the importance of working with perpetrators of domestic abuse to support change and therefore reduce risk.

We explore the different types of abuse that are used in relationships and discuss how behaviour plays out. The function of behaviour is considered, as well as considering the risk and impacts involved.

Discussions will be had around the challenges/difficulties that can arise when working with perpetrators of abuse and how to overcome these. Lack of accountability and how to work with and challenge this is explored, as well as maintaining a focus on victim and family safety.
