Introduction To Yoga

This is a 6 week course starting on the 3 June 2019

Would you like to try yoga as a form of exercise and relaxation? Join our friendly Yoga sessions and see if yoga helps your wellbeing.

Yin Yoga practice aims to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility; it may also help us regulate the body’s flow of energy.

Yin Yoga is a great way to begin yoga practice, or re-ignite a lost passion for yoga, and can branch out in many directions.


What do I need to bring?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and maybe bring some water with you.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All of our courses are available to anyone over 18, please get in touch with us if you would like to attend courses and you are younger than 18, we may have other opportunities available in the near future.

What can I bring into the event?

You don’t need to bring anything to the session, course materials, if needed will be given to all participants, however you may find it useful to bring something to make extra notes in. Bringing a pen or pencil is always a good idea!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will just ask for your name when you arrive.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please let us know if you change the person who is attending, this helps us to manage attendance and to report on activity, it also supports us to understand your progression route so we can support a whole process for you.

If you are completing a sign up for someone else, such as a person you are working with, please make sure to put their name and their email address, so they will get the reminder email 48 hours before!

Lancashire's Recovery College

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is working in partnership with organisations across the county to deliver wellbeing focussed courses to the people of Lancashire. All of our courses are free and have a focus on supporting you to live well.

Our events are delivered in community venues near to you, from January to April we will start with 10 courses across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble. From April we will also roll out courses in more areas, with a plan to reach all areas of Lancashire by 2020.
