Please note: we are awaiting confirmation on the venue for this training but it will be in the North of Dorset.

A training course recommended for anyone who is new to the role of youth worker in a paid or voluntary capacity or for anyone who would like to understand what youth work is all about.

The training will cover –

- What is youth work

- An exploration of how youth work is underpinned by the 4 cornerstones of youth work (Education, Empowerment, Participation and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion)

This course is a prerequisite for anyone who would like to undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice.

Refreshments will be provided but attendees will need to bring their own lunch.

As part of Dorset Council's Youth Offer, we provide youth work training to groups and individuals across the county. This includes Introduction to Youth Work as well as the Level 2 and 3 youth work qualifications for Dorset.
