Intuitive Embroidery Workshop

This workshop is intended to help you connect with your inner creative voice through the medium of hand embroidery. Any artistic practice or craft can help open us to this inner creative channel, but embroidery specifically allows us to work in a dynamic and fun way.

You'll be creating your own mandala design, utilising a number of beginner stitches that I'll be sharing. I like to work with a circular shape as the repetition of building layers around a central point is very calming for the mind. I've been using this same intuitive practice for years and it never fails to bring relaxation and balance, mentally and emotionally.

There is no specific design to follow as the mandala is your own individual creation. However, i will provide guidance, inspiration and practical tips to support you throughout the workshop - from colour theory to stitch combining. Creating in this way allows us to build confidence, curiosity and to feel more ease with facing the unknown. These things then filter out into our wider lives and influence everything we do. Working within the microcosm of the embroidery hoop is mirrored in the macrocosm of life.

- All embroidery tools will be provided and yours to take home to continue working on (Hoop, threads, needle, fabric + pdf handout).

- Snacks will be offered during the workshop - these will be gluten and refined sugar free.

- This workshop is suitable for total beginners or anyone with experience who would like to spend a few hours stitching together.

Exchange: £40 + booking fee

(Two support tickets are available for anyone that feels they need it)
