Event description

Description

Join biographer Edmund Gordon for an evening exploring and celebrating the life and work of Angela Carter.

Iconoclastic and passionate, Angela Carter's books and stories have given us an extraordinary new way of looking at the world. Her work stands out for its bawdiness and linguistic zest, its hospitality to the fantastic and the absurd, and its extraordinary inventiveness and range.

As Edmund Gordon relates in his recent biography, that sense of invention is also applicable to Carter's sense of self, as a woman and as a writer.

In collaboration with Slightly Foxed and The Biographers' Club.
