About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

What is it?

A supportive and welcoming environment which gives you the opportunity to practise your pitching skills and gain confidence in talking about your business. We’re here to help from the ground up! Whether you’re simply talking about your business or idea at networking events, or you’re going to be pitching at a competition to capture the attention of investors. Let’s get confident about communication.

This will be a regular event and we’ll likely have a different focus or format for events.

For this event, the format will include:

  • Welcome and a reminder of house rules
  • Pitch it Back to me - Working in pairs, uncover the power of immediate feedback as your partner reconstructs and pitches your idea back to you, unravelling the key elements that made an impact.
  • Time to network with each other.

What can I expect?

A supportive space to practise your pitching skills and gain confidence talking about your business in a range of settings. As a group we’ll offer support, encouragement and give constructive feedback to help you improve.

Tickets are limited so the group size will be small.

We will have light snacks, soft drinks, teas and coffees available.

Tickets are limited, please cancel our ticket if you are no longer able to attend.

What is Pitch it Back to me and what do I need to prepare?

Embrace the dual role of both the pitcher and the keen listener. Share your groundbreaking concepts and, in return, decode the essence of your partner's pitch.

Please prepare a concise 1-minute pitch about your business or idea focussing on the key elements.

On the day, in pairs you will take it in turns to make your pitch while the other person actively listens. The listener will then become the pitcher and will reconstruct your pitch and present it back to you. There will also be time for feedback in the pairs.
