About Invest Local – Dewsbury's Business Networking Group
Invest Local is a brand-new networking group created by locals, for locals – an initiative founded by three professionals rooted in the Dewsbury, Batley and Mirfield area:
Bill Antil, a Financial Planning Partner
Andy Robinson, a dedicated residential mortgage broker
Siobhan Rules, a dynamic commercial finance broker
Having grown up in and around Dewsbury, Bill, Andy, and Siobhan share a deep connection to the community. Over the years, they’ve observed a decline in local business collaboration and community support. While they've regularly travelled to Huddersfield, Leeds, and Wakefield to connect with other professionals, they felt a growing frustration: why is there nothing right here on our doorstep?
So, they decided to do something about it. Inspired by the spirit of community (and with a nod to the classic League of Gentlemen quote – "This is a local group for local people!") they’ve launched Invest Local: a welcoming, informal monthly meet-up designed to bring together local businesses from Dewsbury, Batley, Mirfield, Thornhill, Heckmondwike together.
