A flourishing and diverse society must ensure that all communities and identity groups are treated with equal respect. Though there are national frameworks to report, record and redress discrimination against religious groups, the prevalence of anti-Hindu hate and discrimination in the UK is under-explored.
This panel discussion with Lord Tony Sewell CBE marks the launch of a report by the ICfS in partnership with Vichaar Manthan, a public engagement platform within the Hindu community, investigating the nature, extent and lived experiences of anti-Hindu hate and discrimination in the UK. It will highlight current perceptions of anti-Hindu hate in the UK and next steps for policymakers and communities to gain a more accurate understanding of this issue.
