Investigation of transfusion reactions

Join William Armour, one of our senior lecturers in Biosciences at London Met, to explore the different types of transfusion reactions and their causes along with their underlying pathophysiology.

During this session you will look at the procedures that biomedical scientists undertake to prevent and minimise the occurrence of transfusion reactions. You’ll also find out more about the testing that is done to investigate a suspected transfusion reaction.

This online session will begin at 2pm with a 30 minute presentation. You’ll then have the opportunity to ask William Armour any questions and to reflect in a group discussion.
