Investing in Innovation: Partnerships with Leeds Beckett University in the Bradford City Region

Leeds Beckett University will be hosting a collaborative breakfast event on Thursday 4th October 2018, which will highlight the ways in which you can invest in innovation to help your business propel ahead of the competition. We will highlight case studies from existing partnerships with companies in the Bradford region who are already making positive steps towards seeing their business grow, with the academic insight and expert help from Leeds Beckett University.


Speakers at the event will include;

Simon Renault, Technical Director – Omega Analytic Systems Ltd.
Simon began working with Leeds Beckett University in July 2016 as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project. This project recently completed in July 2018, and was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ grade by Innovate UK. Simon now heads up a newly created company, Omega Analytic Systems which was created as a result of the KTP. Omega continue to work with Leeds Beckett University, come and listen to his story and his experiences in propelling a Bradford based SME to new levels of innovation.

Aeitsham Faiz, Operations Analyst (current KTP Associate) – The Label Makers
Aeitsham is in his seventh month of a 24-month KTP project in conjunction with Leeds Beckett University and The Label Makers Ltd. The Label Makers are designers and manufacturers of premium quality self adhesive labels established since 1963 and are based in Bradford. They are looking at innovative ways to make the work they do smarter, something every business should be conscious of. Perhaps a KTP could offer you similar business solutions?

Ben Dalton, Principal Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University in the School of Computing, Creative Technologies & Engineering
Ben is an experimental media technologist who uses research methods of design and art. His research is focused on the field of Designing Identity, including technical, social, political and aesthetic aspects of identity in digital public space. Ben is currently working on a project looking at projection mapping with Dominion Print, a large visual marketing company based in Bradford. This project has been funded via the LEP as part of their Access Innovation scheme. Come along to find out more!
