Speakers include:

We are delighted that Former Scottish rugby international Iain Milne, also known as ‘The Bear’ will join us at this year's opening conference. The 60-year-old will talk about his career and battle with depression. He will emphasize the importance of striking the right life/ work balance.

We’re really looking forward to hearing from Alan Mahon, co-founder of Brewgooder, a social enterprise which has been founded on the desire to transform the world through the power of beer. He and his team want to lift hundreds of thousands of people out of poverty, by providing people around the world with access to clean water. Find out how they’re getting on…

Award-winning tech entrepreneur Dr Tanya Ewing is passionate about about helping households & businesses to reduce their energy consumption. The CEO of Perthshire business Glaze & Save is partly responsible for creating a concept that will be installed in all UK homes by 2020. The former Top Scot for the Environment and British Female Inventor of the Year will join us to discuss her successful career, which includes receiving an honorary degree from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015 for her contribution to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Have you spotted the new Stirling: Alive with Scotland brand around the Stirling Council area? Stirling Council’s Chief Executive Stewart Carruth will demonstrate why this is a brand for local people, driven by local people.

We’ll also hear from businesses that have recently chosen to invest in Stirling, including entrepreneur Juliette Cassidy who has just opened her third business, HEAT Fitness, in the city. Juliette is one of this year’s Business Insider’s Top 20 Women to Watch, and we can’t wait to hear what she’s got to say about self-employment and investment in Stirling.

We’re also excited to hear from Steven Drost of Codebase, the UK’s largest technology incubator. Codebase works with businesses that are tackling big challenges with technology, and work tirelessly to support the development of a more diverse and competitive European digital industry. They too are about to invest in Stirling by opening a Stirling incubator, so why not come along to find out about how you can get involved, and why Codebase believes in Stirling?

Stirling Business Month is sponsored by French Duncan LLP.

Managing Director Graeme Finnie will join us at the opening conference to talk about the changing world of work. Many businesses are seeking new and innovative ways to go to market and respond to modern advances in technology. Exploiting these opportunities for profitable growth requires the support of talented people with an openness to change amidst a changing and disruptive marketplace.
