An important part of growing any business is the ability to clearly and effectively pitch your business plan to investors and potential partners.
This workshop has been designed for companies looking for early stage investment from Business Angels and other early stage investment funds. There will be a maximum of 10 businesses invited to attend the workshop, which will provide you with the required information to approach investors with the information they need to evaluate your opportunity. You’ll also get the chance to practice your pitching to a panel of angel investors and business funding advisors who will provide quality feedback.

Ian Tracey, Head of Access to Funding and Finance at the Knowledge Transfer Network
Ian is responsible for growing and developing the KTN’s strategies for assisting innovative companies through the application and raising of finance, be-it lending, grants, or equity based. As the co-creator of the UK Innovation Forum, he was responsible for finding the management required by UK research institutions to fill posts in their spinouts or otherwise participate in the commercialisation of new technologies. He has vast experience in raising finance, winning grants, gaining sales and growing management teams.

James Pressley, Head of Corporate and Commercial at Kirwans Solicitors
James is an Associate Solicitor at Kirwans, one of the North West’s most established law firms.
With over 17 years experience in Corporate and Commercial law, James represents businesses of all sizes throughout the UK, from Sole Traders and SMEs to Limited Companies and Partnerships.

The workshop will be ran over 2 days. There will be a week break between to allow time for pitch preparation. The first session will be on Wednesday 5th October 9am till 4:30pm, and the second on Wednesday 12th October from 9am till 6pm. Applicants must be available to attend both sessions.
Complimentary - each business may send up to two attendees.

If you have secured a place on the workshop and cannot attend any longer, please let email@example.com know ASAP as we have limited availability and you may incur a cancellation charge of £50+VAT if you fail to show up for the workshop without having given us 48 hours cancellation notification.
How to apply
To apply for a place on the workshop, please register your interest via Eventbrite booking system. We will then send you an application form. Deadline for submition of the completed application form is no later than 5pm on 21 September 2016. We will notify all applicants whether they have been selected for the workshop within 5 working days of the deadline to apply date.
