Event description

Description

Be among the first to see and hear about Kate Keara Pelen's brand new commission for King's College London's Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, sponsored by the Perseverance Trust.

Featuring a historic collection of Nightingale nursing badges as well as interviews with a broad range of nurses and others from related fields, this audio-visual installation will be on permanent display in the Student Services area of the James Clerk Maxwell building.

At the heart of King's College's Waterloo Campus and just a stone's throw from St Thomas' Hospital, site of the former Nightingale Training School as well as the Florence Nightingale Museum, this new artwork will serve as a tribute to nurses past, present and future. More details about the work here.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
Artist introduction at 7.30pm.
