Invitation to launch event: Design in the Public Sector - East of England
Tuesday, 26 May 2015 from 14:00 to 16:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
There is a rapidly growing interest in design thinking in central and local government and the contribution it can make towards addressing the challenges you face.
Key design principles, methods and tools such as understanding users’ needs, prototyping, visual techniques and working collaboratively can all be applied to service, system and digital challenges in the public sector to great effect.
If your organisation is based in the East of England and you have a current or future service delivery challenge which could benefit from a different approach, this could be your opportunity to gain support through a proven, innovative accelerator programme.
Design in the Public Sector, developed by Design Council and supported by the Local Government Association, will launch its next call for applicants at a special briefing in Ipswich on the 26 May at 2pm.
Register to join us at this event where you will find out about the impact that this programme has had in the other regions it has been delivered. You will also have the chance to speak with our advisors about how to apply.
This 90-day accelerator programme offers intensive coaching and participative learning to a limited number of public sector bodies. 16 ambitious participants from six organisations will be selected, clustered around particular geographic and cross-sector issues.
The cost of participation is fully subsidised by the LGA.
