Description

The IoD Alumni Dinner is an exclusive event for those who have undertaken an IoD qualification and provides a forum to network and celebrate the success of those who have completed Certificate or Diploma qualifications or gained Chartered Director status.

The dinner is open to IoD alumni only.

We are delighted that Charlotte Valeur will be the evening’s guest speaker.

Charlotte was appointed as Chair of the IoD last September and is responsible for championing the IoD’s values, promoting its objectives and providing leadership to the Institute, ensuring it delivers maximum impact for its members and stakeholders.

Charlotte is a corporate governance expert and a keen advocate for diversity in the boardroom, underpinning this advocacy with action by founding Board Apprentice. This not-for-profit organisation provides individuals with hands-on experience at the very top of business.

Before entering the field of governance, Charlotte worked in finance, where she has over 30 years’ experience. Her career has included stints with Societe Generale, BNP-Paribas and S.G. Warburg.

Charlotte will discuss the recent trends in corporate governance and give an insightful address on the topic.

The evening will commence at 7.00pm with a pre-dinner drinks reception in the Regency Room at the Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey with the event concluding at 11.30pm.

Menu

STARTERS

  • Ham hock and minted pea terrine, piccalilli dressing

  • Smoked salmon, pickled carrot, shallot, lemon and garlic, herb oil

  • Polenta, sundried tomato, spinach, garlic, shallots (v)

MAIN COURSE

  • Supreme of corn fed chicken, charred baby leeks, fondant potato and tarragon sauce

  • Roasted sea bass fillet, baby carrots and salsa verde

  • Mushroom orzo, white beans, truffle oil, Parmesan crisp (v)

DESSERTS

  • Chocolate brownie, vanilla sauce, cinnamon ice cream

  • Dark chocolate pavé, popcorn, salted caramel

  • Fresh fruit and berry plate, cucumber sorbet and mint
