IOE Garden Tour with Susan McGrath

Sarah’s Garden is a volunteer project on the Level 5 roof terrace at the Institute of Education. Students, staff and alumni maintain the garden by coming along to garden workshops or by fundraising to buy plants, tools, compost, etc. The garden was designed to increase the biodiversity index of our concrete building, with native planting to attract birds, bees and butterflies. It also functions as an outdoor classroom – most of our volunteers have little or no gardening experience but rapidly pick up knowledge and skills, whilst also having fun!

Join this lunchtime tour group to see the garden, hear about the plants, and have the opportunity to sign up as a volunteer if you wish.
