Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify the correct steps for a Dynamic Risk Assessment.
  2. Recognize the importance of manual handling and Recall the TILE acronym that can be used as a foundation for conducting a manual handling assessment.
  3. Recall what is meant by the term ‘DSE assessment’ and identify when/why/how one of these assessments would be carried out.
  4. Name routes of exposure for Hazardous Substances into the body and be able to Arrange the correct steps for the Hazardous Substances Assessments ‘hierarchy of controls.
  5. Recognize the different types of Health and Safety Audits and Identify key parts of the methodology in conducting them.
  6. Interpret the differences between the definitions of an ‘incident’, ‘accident’ and ‘near miss’, and recall the steps required when completing an accident or incident investigation and report.
  7. Recall key aspects of developing and implementing Safe Systems of Work.
