The Black Country Innovation Service at Dudley College are working on an interesting project to monitor the status of three 1950’s heavy machines.
We are using modern Internet of Things (IOT) methods to collect and display data from these machines.
At this event we will demonstrate :
The low cost technology that we are using to collect data from machines.
How we send the data over networks using robust industry standard protocols.
Display the current status of each machine as a web page.
We will show you how easy this can be even with no coding experience.
We will show how this project could be taken further by collecting other data from the machines such as temperature or energy use and output to a dashboard.
This will be a gentle introduction to IOT. No experience is necessary. We are hoping to spark ideas on how you can use this technology and how it could be useful for your business.
If there is demand we are happy to run a more in depth workshop for interested companies and the Black Country Innovation Service would be more than happy to work on similar projects to bring new and interesting innovations to benefit your companies.
