IoT Tribe's Tech Challenge AMA
Event Information
About this event
The ASEAN region represents one of the most significant growth opportunities for UK digital technology businesses. With a combined GDP of US$3.2 trillion and accounting for approximately 8.5% of the world’s population, ASEAN has one of the fastest-growing internet markets in the world. Its digital economy is projected to reach $300bn by 2025 and is home to over 400m internet users.
IoT Tribe’s Tech Challenge will connect the best of British startups and SMEs and their cutting-edge solutions with major corporates in South East Asia to solve their key pain points and establish strong working relationships with an aim to create new strategic commercial opportunities for UK businesses with corporate partners in the region.
We have identified several challenges with major corporates in South East Asia that they wish to solve by collaborating with UK-based digital tech providers.
The challenges are focused on:
Challenge 1 (DIGITAL PAYMENTS/FRAUD DETECTION/ERP)
How might we avoid incorrect or duplicate supplier payments through fraud detection or financial data mining so that we can deliver cost avoidance?
Challenge 2 (INDUSTRIAL CYBERSECURITY)
How might we assess our OT risks through a globally accepted and industry-specific OT risk framework so that we form an OT security baseline?
Challenge 3 (AIOT/ENERGY EFFICIENCY/BLOCKCHAIN)
How could we reduce energy consumption through energy-tracking and operational optimisation technologies so that we can effectively progress towards the organisations’ 2030 sustainability commitments?
Challenge 4 (DIGITAL IDENTITY/VOICE BIOMETRICS)
How might we be able to integrate voice authentication for Filipino and Filipino-accented English through automatic speech recognition (and intent recognition) so that security is guaranteed in an easy way and frictionless interaction with the customers is achieved?
Challenge 5 (DATA ANALYTICS/GEOSPATIAL DATA)
How might we effectively predicting new consumer trends (e.g. migration, shifting interests) through geospatial data analytics so that we can proactively offer more suitable solutions for our customers?
Challenge 6 (CYBERSECURITY/DATA SHARING FRAMEWORKS)
How might we overcome data sharing limitations through multi-party computation solutions that enable data/intelligence sharing across organisational borders so that cybersecurity attacks can be identified earlier and more accurately?
If you are a startup, small or medium business based in the UK, and have a proven solution to tackle the challenges in the above areas, then join us for the AMA session where we will dive deeper into each of the challenges and familiarise you with our process for defining your solution and delivering roadmap with a corporate partner. During the session, we will also share the details of the application process.
