IOW - Fossil Hunting with Wight Coast Fossils, at Compton Bay - MAY
This is an excellent opportunity to join this private fossil walk, designed for small groups looking for a more in-depth or simply personal fossil hunting experience.
It’s an excellent opportunity to come face to face with the prehistoric past, on the UK’s very own dinosaur island!
Whether you’re a dedicated fossil collector or you are here to enjoy the fossil walk on the island’s stunning coastline it’s going to be a great afternoon.
*The meeting point is The National Trust Compton Chine Car Park, Isle of Wight, PO30 4HB
Our guide has asked that people arrive at least 5 minutes before we start the walk for a safety brief.
Please wear sensible footwear and a raincoat if needed, and bring a bucket or a bag to put their finds in.
There is no need to bring chisels or hammers :)
