Event description

Description

Video is the future

  • There are 1.5 billion people on YouTube watching over an hour of video a day

  • 100 billion hours of video are watched on Facebook every day expected to rise to 90% of all shared content in 2018

To communicate with their audience, businesses are realising that video is essential in getting their message across. The problem in the past has been it's taken too much time and has cost too much money.

Not anymore…

Former ITV and BBC reporter Anna Brees will teach you how to film and edit good quality video in this one day intensive workshop using your iPhone. (Anna currently works for NUJ Training Wales)

Anna will take you through the traditional television models such as the news package, interview soundbite, vox pops and overlays - with the focus on helping attendees chose the best video vehicle for their message.

Unlike other online iMovie courses, this course will be taken by a professional with many years of experience in the broadcast media.

You will learn how to film and edit on iMovie, add music, sound effects, graphics, music, voiceover and captions to video.

This workshop will also provide live streaming tips on broadcasting for Facebook Live and Periscope.

Attendees need to bring their own iPhone with the iMovie app installed.

Other information: The course will be held at the new Cardiff and Vale College city centre campus, just a five minute walk from Cardiff's main bus and train stations. (further venue details will be sent a week before the course.
