The opening view of this sizeable exhibition of largely new art is open to all of you with an interest in art and/or in Ipswich. If you would like to attend, please select your ticket(s) so that we know approximate numbers likely to attend. The evening will include the usual wine & snacks, and you are invited to stay awhile to mingle & chat whilst viewing the art.
The Freudian Sheep Artists are an informal group of around 100 hand-picked, highly talented East Anglian Professional Artists, emerging from the original The Freudian Sheep Art Gallery in Ipswich, having all exhibited there in the past. This exhibition in the public spaces at Kerseys Solicitors features the art of over 10 of these artists, with original work ranging from paintings to photography, assemblage to print.
Kerseys requested art that interprets the town they're in, and thus Ipswich Interpretations features very individual, unique viewpoints from each of the artists, plus text they've written to accompany the art to add yet more interest. All of the art on view is for sale, and can be purchased/taken away on the night, or during the time the exhibition is on.
Artists confirmed to be exhibiting thus far: Emma Johnson, Borin Van Loon, David Hardy, Anne Plummer, Amy Drayson, Laura Beardsell-Moore, Eleanor May, Carlos Fernandes, Tom Owens, Peter Ellis, Peta Hillier, Michelle Bowden, Ian Moss, Martin Carter, Jenny George.
Be sure to not miss this opportunity to see this collection. It's sure to delight and inspire anyone with a link to or interest in Ipswich.
Images and details of the art will be posted on The Freudian Sheep Artists' Facebook page prior to the opening. If you are interested in any of the art, please do get in touch. www.facebook.com/freudiansheepartists
