Irish Fiddle Workshop for Adult Players

This workshop is designed for adult fiddle and violin players who would like to deepen their understanding of Irish traditional music in a supportive, relaxed and musically focused setting.

Across the afternoon, we’ll work through a carefully chosen set of Irish session tunes, using repertoire as a way to explore:

• Bowing and rhythm

• Ornamentation and stylistic detail

• Developing confidence for session playing

• Practical approaches to learning and practising tunes

The emphasis is on musical understanding and enjoyment, with plenty of opportunity to play, ask questions and connect with other like-minded musicians.

A printed tune booklet will be provided on the day with audio files to accompany the booklet.
