Description

Hello All,

The next Iron Sharpens Iron Book Club will be at 10.30am on Saturday 5th August at Mughead Coffee Shop 359 New Cross Road SE14 6AT

The next book will be ‘Sons of Encouragement’ by Francine Rivers which looks at the lives of five Biblical men who stood behind the heroes of the faith and quietly changed eternity. Aaron, Caleb, Jonathan, Amos, and Silas each faithfully sought after God in the shadows of His chosen leaders. They answered God’s call to serve without recognition or fame.

About the Iron Sharpens Iron Book club

At the Iron Sharpens Iron Book Club meeting we discuss and review a book that is based on Christian principles. Our aim is that these sessions will help you grow in different areas of your life. On the way, we hope to have good discussions (there are no right or wrong views!) and develop friendships.

Alongside the book under discussion, we would like to encourage you to read a portion of scripture that is linked to the theme(s) of the book and if you find any that we have missed, do suggest them before the meet up or raise this as a discussion point at the meeting.

Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another’ (NIV translation)
