The presentation will cover the following:

Solution Validation Checks the conformity of the process and the outcome against the requirements of various sub-systems.

Solution validation also ensures that any failed factory acceptance tests before the system closures for site testing are having proper safety justification.

This safety justifications ensure that the failed FAT tests will not cause any dynamic blocker to the system testing during the closure.

It checks the correctness, consistency and adequacy of test cases and executed tests.

This Solution independent Validation checks that developed solutions are traceable to the requirements.

Das PInak is a Railway Signalling Engineer having more than 33 years of experience in multiple systems both from the client and contractor side.

He has worked across the globe: Indian Railways from the client side, Middle East, Australia for multiple projects, Malaysian projects from Australia, UK initially for multiple Network Rail projects and now in the UK for the last 8 years for CBTC project. At present, I work as Principal Signal Engineer & Solution Independent validator of Hitachi Rail.

He has CMS principle license to check and approve CBTC application data of Hitachi Rail.

He is approved by Transport for London as a safety category reviewer/approver for CBTC designs.

He has worked on multiple systems such as Hitachi Rail’s (earlier Ansaldo STS) Microlok system based on Boolean logic, GE’s ElectrologIXS system, Coded Track circuits, GCP4000 & HXP4 systems for level crossing to give constant warning, SSI, RRI, Mechanical lever frames, CBTC system etc.

He is a certified assessor of IRSE licenses of various signalling design categories.

His hobbies are reading books & doing voluntary activities for communities.


This will be a hybrid presentation: The online part will be using MS Teams. Details will be sent before the meeting to those that register. Please register before 1700 on 23/10/25 for on-line access.

The face-to-face part will take place at TfL's office at 5 Endeavour Square, Stratford, London, E20 1JN. There are only a limited number of spaces. Face-to-face registration closes at 1800 on 17/10/25.
