Description

​Join Dr Elke Heins, Deputy Director (Research) at the Graduate School of Social and Political Science and Dr Lynne Robertson-Rose, Teaching Fellow in Social Policy, for lunch followed by a session on what to consider when approaching a PhD and reflecting on whether a PhD is the right career option. This session will look at writing a research proposal, finding a supervisor, the application process, and potential funding opportunities. Information is given on the annual review process. Apart from research, what else does a PhD entail and what are possible career paths post-doctoral study?

This session is relevant for all students considering a PhD academic career path.
