Is Bristol's Clean Air Zone Working?
Doors open 2:30pm, event starts 3pm. Drinks and snacks availble from the Sparks Cafe - please support Sparks.
You are invited to a Q&A session with Andrew Edwards from Bristol City Council. Andy is responsible for the Local Air Quality Management regime requirements along with raising awareness of Air Quality in Bristol.
Bristol City Council (BCC) has a statutory duty to report annual air pollution data to Defra through air quality Annual Status Reports (ASR). The city council plans to publish a specific 2024 Clean Air Zone report in September 2025, providing more details on the CAZ's performance. It will contain a summary of all air pollution monitoring data for 2024 which was the first full year the Clean Air Zone was in operation.
If you would like to find out more please come along. Entry is on a donation basis, we have been running this group with the goodwill of our members and minimal funding so we need to cover costs of the event (mainly the cost of the room hire from Sparks). Donations on the day are welcomed, cash prefered but we should have contactless payment facilities, or choose donate when you book a ticket through Eventbrite.
