Trying to get your book in print via a hybrid / paid-for publisher? Find out how to safeguard yourself and your work in the next WGGB event
About this event
In our next panel event, John Sailing (WGGB), Nicola Solomon (Society of Authors) and Alysoun Owen (Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook) will be discussing the recently released Is It A Steal? Report, which investigated the practices of hybrid / paid-for publishers and called for reform into the sector. The panel will speak about what the investigation uncovered and what needs to be done to ensure that writers can protect themselves and their rights. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A. Please feel free to send in any advance questions to John Sailing at john@writersguild.org.uk.
Closed captions will be available for this event. Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link the day before.
