Description

Is religion good for us?

For the second of our three forums on 'being human together', and with more emphasis this year on the place of religion, for good or ill, in helping make ourselves and the world about us more harmonious and sane, we hear from two guest speakers within ancient and firmly established religious practices.

Orna Meir-Stacey [Judaism] and Anna McIvor [Buddhism] have both kindly agreed to join us and share something about how their faith enlightens and sustains them, particularly in and through the hardest times. How does their faith help them to adjust to a world of suffering and brokeness, and what does it offer those of us in the world struggling with our own challenges?

Would they say that religion is good for us, and if so, how?

And what do you think? And what is it from your own experience you'd like to share?

The Spiritual Care Forum is sponsored by CPFT [NHS] Chaplaincy and is chaired by Julie Spence, Chair of CPFT.
