Description

Have you always wanted to start your own business but something held you back? Have you struggled to get a job that's right for you? Running your own business could be the answer. Find out in this practical and supportive training workshop.

  • We'll look at what's involved in running a business and whether that would suit you.
  • We'll discuss different options for running a business even if you don't have an idea what type of business you could run
  • We'll consider what you will need to do to trade within the law
  • We'll develop an action plan to help you get started

This is the first workshop in a programme designed to help you to get up and running as soon as possible. Thanks to funding from the NatWest Skills and Opportunities fund this training is free to you. The programme is managed by Action West London and run by Glenda Shawley of the Training Pack an experienced business adviser and qualified adult trainer.

This is what Zoe Angle of Angle Glass, a participant on a previous course had to say,

'I had thought of working for myself before, but had been very nervous of leaving the security of a full-time job. It seemed a more daunting task. Glenda's course showed me that it was possible. Her clear practical approach sign-posted the steps that need to be taken and this combined with her supportive style, convinced me that this was a viable option.' Zoe's business continues to grow more than 10 years on.
