Is Social Investment Right for You?

Session led by: Social Investment Scotland

This online workshop will give you a greater understanding of social investment, and time to explore the opportunities and challenges in relation to your own particular scenario. You will hear from Tracy who has successfully used social investment, learn how she and her board assessed the risk of taking on a loan, and how their business model has developed as well as what the effects of COVID-19 have been and what she sees as key trends to look out for.

This event will also be an opportunity to learn more about the £5m Charity Finance Fund that SIS are shaping in consultation with the sector to make sure it fits the needs of where third sector organisations are placed over the next year.

Join Social Investment Scotland , Tracy and your leadership peers to discover:

  • What is social investment and is it right for me?
  • How to use grants and loans as part of a broad financial mix.
  • Tips on raising finance to grow and develop socially enterprising activities.
  • Steps to help you become investment ready.
  • What financials, assumptions, and governance that an investor will look for.
