Event description

Description

A conference exploring local, national and international responses to the current issues of illicit drug use. The University of South Wales, Barod and Kaleidoscope have collaborated with the team that brought us Street Drugs in the Northern Powerhouse, and Street Drugs in the Big Smoke, to put this event on in Cardiff.

We will bring to Wales experts in the field to share their knowledge, challenge our thinking and encourage innovative responses to the issues we face in our country.

Confirmed speakers include:

Professor Alex Stevens - Professor in Criminal Justice in the University of Kent’s School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research, and also Director of Public Engagement for the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Neil Woods - A former undercover drugs operative and Detective Sergeant, spending fourteen years (1993-2007) infiltrating drug gangs as an undercover police officer.
