Event description

Description

Defenders of free speech frequently suggest the right to offend is inviolable. But is it? Are there aspects of faith that are so sacred that they are above critique? How should we respond when the offended react with violence? Is there a fresh way forward?

The second event in Ekklesia and Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church's Creative Conversations series will be a panel discusson. The panellists discussing this controversial topic are Anjum Anwar (former interfaith worker at Blackburn Cathedral), Professor Tina Beattie (feminist theologian), Andrew Copson (Director, British Humanist Association) and Rabbi Sybil Sheridan (writer and reform Rabbi).
