Conversations about Race is organised by the Student Success Department, KCLSU and Citizens UK taking place on February 27th. The event aims to connect students and staff from BME & non-BME backgrounds in an informal context allowing everyone to share their experiences at the university from a perspective of race. All attendees are welcome to share their stories, and hear from others on this topic.

The event will be co-chaired by Muhammad Arkam Babar and a member from Citizens UK.

Some of the objectives for this programme include:

1. To help faculties become more aware of students/staff experiences with race at the university and document these insights

2. To gain insight into student/staff experience from a perspective of race.

This is a new format to build on existing work done by other teams at King's College London which seeks to create a greater sense of belonging for all members within our community.
