This taster workshop is for anyone over 40 that is looking to destress and to find a physical activity that you can do into your 80s. Yoga can enhance your flexibility, strength, and balance while promoting relaxation and mindfulness. Whether you’re looking to relieve stress, improve mobility, or simply try something new this workshop is for you.
What You Can Expect:
· Understanding Benefits: Discover how starting yoga can positively affect your future health and well-being.
· Yoga Overview: Learn about various types of yoga, a brief history, and their different styles, helping you find what resonates with you.
· Class Etiquette: Gain insights into yoga class etiquette, including the use of props, temperature considerations, and modifications for different abilities.
· Breath Awareness: Engage in breathing exercises and understand the significance of breath in your day to day life and in yoga practice.
· Embracing Stillness: Experience the power of quiet and calmness in your mind and body.
· Practical Application: Participate in a 4 guided sessions covering Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. All sessions are modified for all individuals and are at the beginner level.
Individuals should come dressed in clothing that you can move in comfortably. Individuals need to be able get down and up from the floor unassisted. All props, mats, blankets are included.
