Description

Inverness Science Festival 2018 - Public Programme

Dr Antonia Pritchard, Senior Lecturer - Diabetes and Cardiovascular Science, University of the Highlands and Islands

Exposure to the sun's UV rays is the most well known cause of skin cancer, however there are many other factors that can affect how likely you are to develop a tumour. This talk will explore recent research into the less well known causes of skin cancer, including how increased risk runs in families and how melanomas (a type of skin cancer) can develop even where the sun doesn't shine...

Please note lecture will take place from 7pm-8pm with tea and coffee served between 6.30pm-7pm.

Booking essential. Please note you must produce a valid ticket on arrival.
