Inverness Science Festival 2018 - Public Programme

Whales, dolphins & porpoises: Cetaceans of Scottish seas. Texa Sim BSc (Hons)., MSc. PhD researcher in Marine Vertebrate Ecology at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS).

Take a dive into the rich lives of whales, dolphins and porpoises in our Scottish seas, where a quarter of the world’s species have been documented. Learn how these remarkable animals thrive in a challenging marine environment, what species can be found in Scotland, how to identify them, and some of the current efforts to study and protect them.
