ISH Toolbox - Resilience
Mon 23 January 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 GMT
*Please note new start time of 6:30pm*
We are living in an age of increased expectations. Technological advancements have enabled workforce efficiency, but rather than leaving us with an excess of time, the ability to get more done has resulted in the expectation that we should do more. Add to that the fact that highly informed consumers make up increasingly fluid markets, and we have the perfect conditions for increasingly high client and consumer expectations, shifting goal posts, and unending ‘To-Do’ lists.
How can we best sustain ourselves in today’s professional climate?
In this workshop Dr. Brennan Jacoby will draw on research to help students better understand how life’s pressures impact their thoughts, feelings and physical posture. Participants will then be introduced to, and given space to practice, tools for responding well under stress and improving resilience.
