It may be possible to manage a company or team without significant levels of trust. But where distrust reigns, true leadership is all but impossible. Impaired trust can make it difficult for a leader’s vision to be received by others, and the sense of insecurity that comes with distrust can make it hard for leaders and followers alike to interact with authenticity.
The good news is that it is possible to cultivate a climate of trust where there is space for all to be authentic, collaborate efficiently, exercise creativity, and flourish.
In this session, Philosopher and Trust Consultant, Dr. Brennan Jacoby, will
unpack the nature of trust and trustworthiness, and help students identify steps they can take to cultivate climates of trust in their own contexts.
