Visitors will have the opportunity to shop a wide range of designs and sizes, including one-off, unique pieces, all masterfully handcrafted in Afghanistan.

Our Rugs:
Since 2016 ISHKAR has worked with master weavers in Afghanistan to produce luxurious hand-knotted and handwoven rugs which marry traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Every ISHKAR rug is made from Ghazni wool. This wool - unique to Afghanistan due to its terrain and climate - imbues every rug with a silky, luxuriant finish, absorbing and reflecting colour with rich abrash.
From the spinning and dying of the wool, to the cutting and washing of the final rug, every step of the production process is made by hand. Each piece has its own individual character and bears the distinct mark of the artisans who brought it to life.

We partner with artisans in places which have often been overlooked. Founded in Kabul, ISHKAR is committed to maintaining the majority of its production in Afghanistan.
