ISIS User Conference 2013 (16th October 2013)

The 2013 ISIS User Conference will be held on Wednesday 16th October at our European headquarters in London. The first presentation will start at 10:00 (registration and refreshments from 09:00) and will end at approximately 17:00.

The annual event, which in 2012 attracted over 100 users from public and private sector organisations, provides the following benefits:

  • Showcases the latest release of ISIS
  • Allows users, managers and decision makers to find out about the latest developments
  • Network with fellow modellers in the industry and help direct the future development of ISIS
  • Provides an overview of the functionality within ISIS and how users can apply it to their projects
  • Sessions are independently chaired by Chris Whitlow of Edenvale Young
  • Learn how public and private sector organisations use ISIS through a selection of case studies
  • Attendance is FREE to all supported clients and academic institutions
  • Provides the opportunity to learn from the experiences of other modellers

Advanced ISIS Training Workshop (17th October 2013)

An Advanced ISIS training workshop is being run on Thursday 17th October at our European headquarters in London. It will give those people attending the conference (or those just wanting to develop their flood modelling skills) the opportunity to learn about the advanced fuctionality provided within ISIS.

This one day course is aimed at experienced ISIS users, who want to expand their knowledge of advanced hydraulic modelling concepts and ISIS capabilities. The course will enable modellers to solve complex or difficult hydraulic problems, and to audit and troubleshoot models more effectively as well as cover the following areas (to be confirmed):

  • Effective and efficient linking of 1D and 2D models (ISIS and TUFLOW)
  • How to utilise the new ISIS-Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) link
  • Integrated catchment modelling using ISIS and TUFLOW
  • Representation of complex dynamic structures
  • Introducing the new ReFH urban unit - managing urban flooding more effectively
  • Using ISIS to understand flood impacts - post processesing flood damage and hazard metrics
  • How to make model simulations faster utilising advanced parameters, ISIS FAST and other tools
  • How sensitivity and uncertainty analysis can change flood levels and extents

The cost of attending this course is £150+VAT for organisations with a valid ISIS support and maintenance contract. For unsupported clients, the cost of attendance is £300+VAT.

Please note that spaces on the Advanced Workshop are limited. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Unsupported organisations wishing to attend the user conference or those registering a place at the Advanced Workshop can make payment using a credit or debit card within this site.
