Speaker: Dr Maryyum Mehmood

Title: ‘‘Through the Target’s Lens: Lived Realities of Antisemitism and Islamophobia’

Maryam Mehmood is a Fellow and Centre Facilitator at The Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion, University of Birmingham. She is also a Research Associate at St Benet's Hall, University of Oxford. In 2018, Maryyum completed an ESRC-funded PhD-studentship at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. Her thesis explores Antisemitism and Islamophobia, by focusing on responses to religious stigmatization against Muslims in contemporary England and Jews in Weimar Germany, respectively.
